The Cape region might be known for its wines but don’t miss this chance to explore its thriving craft beer industry. Some might say the beer is the South African national drink! Ever since Cape Town founder, Jan van Riebeeck, established the first brewery in the 1650s, many brewmasters have perfected their craft and opened breweries in the Cape Town and Stellenbosch regions. In fact, there are currently more than 30 breweries in the area.
Our leisurely full day tour will include a visit of four breweries (time depending) off the beaten track, where you’ll go behind the scenes to find out how some unusual, handcrafted IPAs, APAs, stouts and lagers are made. You’ll enjoy guided tours by brew masters and taste over 2 litres of beer.
We’ll point out notable sights along the way as we drive you around in air-conditioned comfort. We will meet you at your accommodation at around 9:30am and drop you off at around 17:30pm.
