This tour is what Instagram dreams are made of. Views, views and views for days –it’s pure bucket list stuff that will make your friends green with envy. As the explorer Sir Francis Drake once remarked: “The Cape is the most stately thing and the fairest cape we saw in the whole circumference of the earth.”
Connect with an area of great natural beauty as we travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via the beauty spots of Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, making photo stops along the way and continuing to Hout Bay – a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and a pristine swimming beach.
We then go over Chapman’s Peak, which is widely considered as one of the most scenic drives in the world. Next we stop to take a picture of Noordhoek beach – a 6km stretch of white sand popular for surfing, horse riding and fishing. We then take the magnificent coastal drive to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, which has a wide variety of fascinating plant, bird and animal life. No visit is complete without a visit to the southwestern most point of the African continent where lunch will be arranged to suit your taste.
Next we will visit Boulders Beach, one of only two mainland African penguin breeding colonies in the world. Here you can get within a few feet of this amazing endangered species. After saying goodbye to the penguins, we’ll visit Simon’s Town – a village with a naval base – and then head back towards Cape Town via Kalk Bay, Muizenberg and Constantia.
