Where else in the world can you visit lush forests, see magnificent wildlife, relax on pristine beaches and taste wines – all within just a few hours from Cape Town? Over 3-4 days we will show you the very best the Garden Route has to offer. The best thing about this tour is that because it’s private, small and tailor-made, it’s perfect for couples or families who want to explore at their own pace.

We will collect you from your accommodation and then make our way east to join the R62 – so-called Route 62. This is the longest wine route in the world, linking Cape Town with Port Elizabeth. Driving through the Huguenot Tunnel with its breathtaking mountains, you will get your first glimpse of the Breede River Valley. We will make stops along this route at towns like Worcester, Barrydale, Montagu and Calitzdorp – where you will taste some of the finest port South Africa has to offer. Soon we will reach Oudtshoorn where you will have the choice of a variety of fun activities, such as exploring the famous Cango Caves, meeting elephants or visiting a working ostrich farm. Oudtshoorn was once known as the ‘feather capital of the world’. You will spend the night in beautiful accommodation and maybe even enjoy a truly South African braai (barbeque)!
After a hearty breakfast we will drive towards the Indian Ocean past rugged mountains, rivers and indigenous forests. We will visit the Tsitsikamma National Park where you can enjoy a stroll in the forest or get a bird’s eye view as you zip over the trees. If you’re an adventurous traveller, don’t miss the chance to try the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. Finally we will reach holidaymaker’s heaven, Knysna. Enjoy a local beer and renowned Knysna oysters or go paddling on the Knysna Lagoon. Spend the night at a private game reserve where you will do a game drive the next morning to spot the big 5!
